Before joining Sierra Space, Christopher was with the Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC), the predecessor company to Sierra Space, prior to the carve out.  In total, Mr. Allison has been with Sierra Space/SNC for over 13 years.

His educational background includes a Bachelors of Science in Aerospace Engineering and a minor in Engineering Leadership.

During his tenure at Sierra Space, Mr. Allison has held roles as the Federal Agencies Integration Lead and Landing Site Coordinator.  In recent years, Mr. Allison has represented Sierra Space to the Federal Aviation Administration, Department of State, Federal Launch/Reentry Ranges, and Space Florida coordinating compliance with government requirements, regulations, and contract negotiations in support of planned Dream Chaser launches and landings. Mr. Allison has been asked to represent Sierra Space on 6 Aviation Rulemaking Committees discussing topics of commercial space regulations and integration into the National Airspace System. He has also held positions as Chair of the Commercial Spaceflight Federation’s Regulatory Committee, AIA’s Commercial Space Committee, and ASTM’s subcommittee on uncrewed launch and reentry vehicles.

NASA has contracted Sierra Space’s Dream Chaser® spaceplane for a minimum of seven resupply missions to the International Space Station. The company is also building a three-story habitation and science module called LIFE™, which will provide ample room for astronauts to live and work on board the world’s first commercial space station, Orbital Reef.
